Faxiang zong
The Faxiang zong ( Chinese 法相 宗 , Pinyin Fǎxiāng zōng , W.-G. Fa-hsiang tsung ) the » School of Characteristics « (Sanskrit: Dharmalakṣaṇa ) is the school of Chinese Buddhism founded in the 7th century .
Her teachings are based on the thought of Vijñānavāda , according to which all appearances are only unreal or deceptive projections of the mind ( cittamātra ) . The school went out in the 9th century, but found its way to Japan , where it lived on as Hossō (Hossō-shu) .
