Fazail-e Amaal
The Fazail-e-Amaal ( Urdu فضائلِ اعمال) is an Islamic literary work written by the Indian Muhammad Zakarīyā al-Kāndahlawī .
The text consists of excerpts from Quranic verses and hadiths followed by an explanation. Originally it is written in Urdu but has been translated into several languages including Arabic , English , Turkish , Persian and Bengali .
The hadiths and the verses of the Koran are reproduced in the original Arabic and with the corresponding translation.
The work is mainly used by the Tablighi Jamaat for missionary work. At the universities of the Darul-uloom , the work is often used, especially in the 7th semester.

Kandehlewi, according to his own statement, always tried to find a word choice that was "inviting to Islam":
“We give thanks to Allah the Most High and ask for peace and blessings on His noble Messenger, His Companions, and those who have followed them in upholding the religion.
It was in the year 1353 after the Hijra (the emigration from Mecca to Madina), when an eminent scholar who is my friend and whom I hold dear, commissioned me to write a book containing the experiences of the companions of the Prophet; with special reference to the faith and religious practice of the women and children of his time.
The basic idea behind this idea was that, instead of telling their children myths and fables, Muslim mothers should read to them true experiences from the time of Islam's origins, through which the younger generation developed a feeling of love and appreciation for the Prophet's companions , as well as strengthens and refines their faith; a book that should be a good substitute for the usual bedtime stories. "
