Federation for Sport at Altitude

The Federation for Sport at Altitude (FSA) was founded on December 11, 1995 and was an international sports association for the promotion and regulation of high altitude mountain sports up to heights of 4000  m .

The headquarters of the organization was in Biella , Italy . The FSA was originally founded by Paolo Fornoni, Adriano Greco and Matteo Pellin.

In 2008 the Federation for Sport at Altitude was replaced by the International Skyrunning Federation .

Partner associations

The partner associations of the FSA included the All American Trail Running Association, the Extreme Runners Club International (ERCI), the FSA Italy , the Federaciò d'Entitas Escursionistes de Catalunya , the Mezzalama Foundation, the Associazione Kima, the GA Fior di Roccia , the US T&F Mountain Running Committee, the Skyrunners Sporting Club, the Federacion Mexicana de Deportes de Altitud and the Club du Sport Val d'Isere .
