Matthias Schoch (born January 23, 1986 ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

He became known through the lead role in the successful Swiss film Jeune Homme by director Christoph Schaub . From 2007 to 2010 he studied acting at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK, formerly HMT). From 2011 to 2014 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Biel-Solothurn .

In 2013 he received the Armin Ziegler Foundation's sponsorship award for his work. He regularly appears in short and feature films, most recently in the feature film The fertile years are over . In addition to his acting work, he works as a speaker, moderator and musician. He was invited to the Swiss Theatertreffen 2017 with the play development “Before I Speak I Have Something to Say” (Merker / Schoch) .

2014–2018 Matthias Schoch was the artistic director of the open-air spectacle Circus Chnopf . He is also co-founder and head of the production and performance facility for contemporary circus, Zirkusquartier Zürich .
