Zurich Film Foundation

The Zürcher Filmstiftung promotes professional filmmaking through subsidies and loans to authors, directors, production companies and distributors. It is financed by the Canton of Zurich , the City of Zurich and the cantonal financial equalization scheme. In 2013, 10.4 million Swiss francs went into film funding.

The foundation was established on November 17, 2004 and has been operational since January 1, 2005. She is a member of CineRegio and offers co-production meetings and training opportunities within this European network.

The highest foundation body is the foundation council, which is presided over by Corine Mauch, mayor of Zurich . Julia Krättli is the managing director.
