Federico Longo (born August 15, 1962 in Mirano , Italy) is a former Italian cyclist .

Career

As an amateur , he made his first big tour in 1982 with the International Peace Tour (although he had to retire). Longo finished second in the Giro Ciclistico d'Italia in 1983 and won the Giro d'Oro in 1987 . He then switched to the professional position at Alfa Lum-Ecoflam in 1988 and moved to Del Tongo in 1989 , without achieving any particular results until he retired in 1990.

He is the younger brother of Mauro Longo , who is also a cyclist.
