The Felice Brothers are an American New Folk Rock / Country Rock band from Upstate New York that has existed since 2006. The group consists of the brothers Ian, Simone and James Felice and their friends Christmas Clapton and Greg Farley.

Career

After the band performed mainly as street musicians in New York and became a local star, they were given the opportunity to record a record with producer Paul Schiavo during a tour of England - Through These Reins and Gone became the group's debut album.

With this album, the band received attention in the new folk scene in the USA. The successors Tonight at the Arizona and The Felice Brothers finally helped the Felice Brothers to their final breakthrough and brought them wide recognition, especially in Europe. Simone Felice left the band in 2009 and began a solo career.

In terms of content, the Felice Brothers can be classified as classic storytellers in the style of Bob Dylan or Woody Guthrie , whereby they mainly tell stories from the perspective of the losers, the declassed and the outsiders. Musically they are also based on traditional American folk. They mainly use classical folk instruments such as guitar, fiddle, harmonica or accordion.
