Felipe Boero

Felipe Boero (born May 1, 1884 in Buenos Aires ; † August 9, 1958 there ) was an Argentine composer .

Boero studied in Buenos Aires with Arturo Berutti and from 1912 to 1914 in Paris with Gabriel Fauré and Paul Vidal . He then lived as a celebrated opera composer in Buenos Aires and is considered the founder of national Argentine opera .

In addition to six operas, he composed symphonic poems , an oratorio , a mass and songs .
