Felix Ahlers

Felix Ahlers (born August 9, 1966 ) is a German manager and chairman of the board of Frosta AG in Bremerhaven .

Ahlers, son of Frosta owner Dirk Ahlers , initially trained as a chef from 1986 to 1988 at the Hotel “Le Bristol” in Paris and then from 1988 to 1992 studied economics at the Université Paris Dauphine IX . After completing his studies, he worked in marketing and sales for Western Europe for the Italian food manufacturer Delverde from 1992 to 1995 . From 1995 to 1997 he did his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago . From 1997 to 1999 he was a manager at the Sheraton Hotel in Frankfurt am Main .

Ahlers has been working for his family company Frosta AG since 1999. He started as General Manager at "Frosta Polska", and from 2002 to 2003 was responsible for all international business. In 2003 the company plunged into an existential crisis after the introduction of the "Reinheitsgebot" for Frosta products. Felix Ahlers took on responsibility for marketing and continued the quality strategy, which initially cost 30 percent of sales and 10 percent of jobs. The strategy has proven to be successful in the medium term. Felix Ahlers has been CEO of Frosta AG since 2010.

As a trained chef, Ahlers u. a. personally put together two Frosta dishes. He is considered the developer of the "Original Frosta Purity Law": Since 2003, Frosta has dispensed with additives.
