Felix Wazekwa

Félix Wazekwa S'Grave (born September 14, 1962 in Kinshasa ) is a Congolese musician. He began his career as a soukous musician at the side of Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide .

biography

In 1985 Felix Wazekwa went to Europe and studied economics in Paris. In 1990 he began working with other musicians as a composer. Between 1991 and 1993 he worked with Koffi Olomide on the albums Kuwait , Left Bank and Noblesse . From 1993 to 1995 he worked with Papa Wemba on the albums Foridoles and Pole-Position . He got married on August 19, 1995 and in that year he also started his solo career. In December 1999 he released his fourth album Sponsor . He also works with other artists and groups such as Soukous Stars, Damien Aziwa, Djeffard Lukombo, Bibidens and Duc Herod. His Congolese audience particularly appreciates his heavy and profound lyrics. In 2001 his 5th album Signature was released .
