The Fellbacher eG was a cooperative bank based in Baden-Württemberg Fellbach .
Business area
Fellbacher Bank operated both private and corporate customer business in four branches. The focus was on the deposit, securities and credit business. The portfolio was supplemented by the products of the companies in the cooperative financial network.
In 2015 Fellbacher Bank had around 22,500 customers and 11,023 members. The wholly owned subsidiary FB-Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG was part of the Fellbacher Bank eG portfolio.
history
On March 25, 1890, Johann Georg Eppinger and 31 other people signed the founding protocol. The cooperative, registered as the Fellbach Loan Association, set up a second branch in 1927 with the name “Genossenschaftsbank Fellbach” at Bahnhofstrasse 123. In 1958, the members decided to change their name to “Fellbacher Bank” for the second time.
On December 1, 1986, the main office opened on Berliner Platz. In 1993 the location in Bahnhofstrasse was established. In 1997 the branch in Oeffingen moved from Kaisersbacher Strasse to the branch in the center of Oeffingen.
On January 1, 2016 Fellbacher Bank was merged with Untertürkheimer Volksbank to form Volksbank am Württemberg .
Organs and bodies
Representative Assembly
The rights of the members in the affairs of the cooperative were exercised by representatives of the members in the representative assembly. Every four years a representative was elected for 50 members. In this election, each member had one vote, regardless of their participation.
Supervisory board and board of directors
The supervisory board consisted of ten members who were each elected by the representative assembly for a three-year period.
Social and social engagement
Fellbacher Bank eG supported associations, non-profit institutions, educational and cultural institutions in Fellbach and the region as well as the Fellbach community foundation. For some years now, Fellbacher Bank eG has also been supporting the Fellbach workers' welfare organization.
