The Felsenbad Pottenstein in Pottenstein (Upper Franconia) is an open-air swimming pool that was opened in 1926 and, in its original form, was considered one of the most beautiful open-air swimming pools in Germany.

When it opened on Pentecost 1926, the pool had a 1,300 square meter swimming pool and a four, seven and ten meter diving facility built in the 70 meter high Finkenstein.

A renovation of the badly damaged bathroom in the 1970s failed due to the high costs. The Kurhaus in Pottenstein received an indoor swimming pool in 1972. This was expanded to the Juramar adventure pool in 1995 . In 1987 the rock pool was temporarily closed until it was reopened at Whitsun 2001 after a restoration phase. During the renovation, the concrete pool was replaced by a natural bathing pond. The water is cleaned in a planted filter basin that is filled with filter substrate . The purified water at the bottom of the pool is pumped back into the pool via a drainage pipe . This method eliminates the need for chemicals.

The bath is located approx. 500 meters outside Pottenstein opposite the Schöngrundsee , the summer toboggan run and the Teufelshöhle .

The ruins of the bath were also used as a film set in 1994. The music video Love so Beautiful by the Bamberg dance floor artist General B. Power’s was shot there.

The Art Nouveau outdoor pool in front of the rocky backdrop has become a natural swimming pool with a floating stage, beer garden and café terrace.
