Felsite Island is a 1.5 km long and up to 305 m high rock island off the Borchgrevink coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located at the head of Edisto Inlet in the middle of the mouth of the Edisto Glacier on the isthmus of the Hallett Peninsula .
Participants of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1957-1958) named them descriptively after the dykes made of cream- colored rock in the otherwise dark sedimentary rock of the island.
