The Ferchau GmbH (proper spelling: FERCHAU ) is a German engineer - and IT provider. The company employs engineers, technicians, draftsmen and IT consultants who are made available to industrial companies for temporary project work. The basis for this is the Temporary Employment Act . Basis for outsourcing projects are contracts for work and service contract . The family-run company has 100 branches and locations in Germany and employs 8,260 people. The turnover in 2019 was over 734 million euros. The company headquarters are in Gummersbach, Upper Berg .
history
Heinz Ferchau founded the company in 1966 as an engineering office for services related to construction . In 2004 the Aviation division for aerospace was established. The marine division was founded in 2006 with a focus on shipbuilding engineering and offshore technology. The automotive division was founded in 2017.

Ferchau GmbH is part of the Able Group. The central administration in Gummersbach is responsible for overarching tasks such as strategic and commercial management, human resources , marketing , IT etc. Today (as of 2019) the managing directors of Ferchau GmbH are Frank Ferchau and Alexander Schulz. Frank Ferchau and his sister Sabine Schweizer, geb. Ferchau.

Services and business areas
Services are provided in the areas of shipbuilding, plant and mechanical engineering , aviation, electrical engineering, as well as vehicle and information technology . With the three business areas of Engineering Support, Engineering Competence and Managed Services, Ferchau supports its customers on site in operational business or in projects.
