Ferdi Lehder
Ferdinand Lehder (born October 31, 1913 in Neu-Isenburg ; † unknown) was a German racing driver .
Career
After the war, Lehder was a technical merchant at Opel in Frankfurt. In 1948, together with Tarnow / Eckhardt, he built two miniature racing cars of what was then Formula 3 , the LTE jewel with a BMW boxer engine , with which he did well at the Grenzlandring . In 1949 two LTE-Brilliant with a BMW rear engine of 500 cm³ and 750 cm³ followed
Lehder was second in German Formula 3 in 1949 and third in the same racing class in 1950. In 1951 he set four world records up to 500 cm² with a vehicle that he developed together with Georg von Opel , and two more with a 350 cm³ engine. An NSU compressor engine was used for the 500 cm³ vehicle . The vehicle was preserved.
