Ferdinand Giese

Johann Emanuel Ferdinand von Giese (* 1781 ; † 1821 ) was a German pharmacologist , university professor and rector of the Imperial University of Dorpat (1816-1818).

Around 1809 he was Professor of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the Imperial University of Kharkov and, together with Dorpater Professor of Chemistry and Pharmacy David Hieronymus Grindel, published the Russian Yearbook for Chemistry and Pharmacy , two volumes of which were published.
