Vinícius Vasconcelos Araújo , short Vinícius (born February 22, 1993 in João Monlevade , Minas Gerais ), is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Vinícius began his career in the youth teams of Cruzeiro. Because of his achievements, he was also appointed to the U-20 national team. With this he took part in the 2013 Toulon tournament. In the same year he contributed to Cruzeiro's third Brazilian championship with seven goals in 16 games.

In January 2014 Vinícius moved to Valencia CF in Spain . On August 26, 2014, Vinícius moved to Standard Liège on loan in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League until the end of the 2014/15 season . Further loan transactions followed until August 2017. Then his contract was canceled and Vinícius signed a one-year contract with Real Zaragoza After the 2017/18 season was over, Vinícius returned to Brazil and signed a contract with CR Vasco da Gama in August 2018 until December 2019 . After hardly making appearances for Vasco in 2018 and 2019, he was loaned to league rivals Avaí FC in September 2019 until the end of the year . In 2020 he moved to Asia . Here he signed a contract with Montedio Yamagata in Japan . The club from Yamagata Prefecture played in the second highest Japanese league, the J2 League .
