Ferdinand Rohrhirsch

Ferdinand Rohrhirsch (born September 21, 1957 in Offingen an der Donau (Bavaria) ; † March 16, 2018 in Esslingen am Neckar ) was a contemporary philosopher , theologian and executive coach who lived in Esslingen am Neckar.

Career

After attending elementary and secondary school, Rohrhirsch completed an apprenticeship with the Deutsche Bundesbahn in the intermediate non-technical service at Ulm Central Station. After a short period of employment he graduated from the technical college and studied religious education , theology and philosophy at the Catholic University of Eichstätt . In 1986 he obtained the degree of theology graduate and in 1988 that of the MA. From 1988 to 2002 he was a research assistant at the chair for practical philosophy (ethics) and history of philosophy of Alexius J. Bucher. Rohrhirsch was awarded a Dr. theol. PhD and habilitation in 1996 (Dr. theol. habil.). In 1997 he was appointed private lecturer in the field of philosophy and in 2003 he was appointed professor of philosophy at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. From 2005 to 2010 Rohrhirsch was a member of the extended lecturers and initiative group of the Institute for Entrepreneurship at the University of Karlsruhe under the direction of Götz Werner .
