Ferdinand von Bocholtz

Ferdinand von Bocholtz (* in the 16th or 17th century; † January 21, 1669 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman, vice-dominus and canon in Münster .

Life

Ferdinand von Bocholtz came from the Lower Rhine noble family von Bocholtz and was the son of Gottfried von Bocholtz († 1632, grande maior of Lüttich) and his wife Margarethe von Groesbeck zu Orey. His brother Arnold was canon in Münster from 1644 to 1650. The Cathedral Chapter took on 12 January 1633 the Elector's proposal to entrust Ferdinand with the Office of Vice Dominus on. On April 6, 1633 he took possession of the cathedral priest after he had presented the necessary documents. On May 15th, the elector gave the prebende for the third time. The chapter instructed him to present the subdiaconate certificate, which happened on July 27, 1634. On August 19th he finally came into the possession of the benefice. At that time Ferdinand was already Canon of Liège. Later he also became canon of Hildesheim. On June 8, 1668, he asked the Chapter to approve his intended waiver . This request was granted.
