Luis Fernando Albuerne Garcell (born October 28, 1920 in Sagua de Tánamo , Oriente Province , † July 8, 2000 ) was a Cuban singer.

The Albuerne family owned a hotel and a farm in the eastern Cuban town of Sagua de Tánamo before they moved to Havana, where their father set up a soap factory. The musical autodidact Fernando Albuerne graduated from the University of Havana as an agricultural engineer and then initially worked in the family's own perfume production. When he presented himself in 1941 in the recording studio of the radio station Radio Cadena Suaritas to ask about the cost of recording his own record, he was hired directly for the station. He received an exclusive contract and appeared in theaters, revues and television in Cuba and toured Latin America.

In 1953 he toured Europe and performed in Lisbon, Madrid and Paris. After the Cuban Revolution in 1959, he organized a large charity campaign to collect donations for the reconstruction of his hometown Sagua de Tánamo, which was partially destroyed in the Revolutionary War, in which many of the country's great artists participated, including Benny Moré . In 1960 he left Cuba and went to Caracas. He lived in Florida since the 1970s. He sang Cuban songs on numerous albums and later interpreted a broad Spanish-language repertoire.

He died on July 8, 2000 from Parkinson's disease.
