Fernando Gautreaux (born before 1955) is a Dominican guitarist.

Gautreaux began his career as a guitarist in 1955 with the Trio Los Juglares , which also included Rafael Rodríguez and Alejandro Dandrades . The trio performed at Vox Dominicana , where numerous musicians in the country began their careers.

After the invasion of the US troops in 1965, the group went to Puerto Rico and worked there with the singer Virginia López . In 1977 the trio was engaged as a musical backing band for the Miss Universe election , which Janelle Commissiong from Trinidad and Tobago won that year . After this engagement they performed in New York and undertook a concert tour through the USA, the Caribbean and Japan under the direction of the impresario Javier Cugat .

Upon receiving news of the death of his son Eddie Mauricio Gautreaux , Fernando Gautreaux gave up his musical activities and returned to the Dominican Republic. It wasn't until years later that he began to work again as a musician and performed again with his trio on cruise ships in the Caribbean.
