Fernando López , full name Fernando Gastón López Hernández , (born January 11, 1985 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
The 1.78 meter tall midfielder López was at the beginning of his career from 2002 to mid-2003 in the ranks of Club Atlético Basáñez . Then he was active until the end of June 2006 for the reserve team (Formativas) of Club Atlético Peñarol . In the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons he was again on the Basáñez squad. In early August 2008 he moved to Club Sportivo Cerrito , for which he was used in 19 Primera División games in the 2009/10 season . He didn't score a goal. His commitment there ended in mid-2010. From July 2011, the Ecuadorian club Técnico Universitario was his employer, for which he scored two league goals that year. In mid-March 2012, the club Universidad Católica, also competing in the Primera B, committed him . In 2012 he played there in 23 league games and scored twice in the opposing goal. In early February 2013 he joined Mushuc Runa . As part of his commitment to the Ambato club until the end of 2014 , he was used in at least 35 league games. He was successful as a goalscorer three times. Since the beginning of 2015 he has continued his career at Club Deportivo River Ecuador . So far (as of February 26, 2017) he has made 70 appearances and two goals in Serie A with the Ecuadorians .
