Fernando Lorenzo
Fernando Lorenzo Estefan (born January 31, 1960 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan politician and economist .
education
Lorenzo first graduated in 1984 from the economics faculty of the Universidad de la República . Finally, he continued his studies for a year in Paris, where he obtained the Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies . From 1991 to 1997 he completed his doctorate at the Carlos III University in Madrid.
Political career
Lorenzo has headed the Uruguayan Ministry of Economy and Finance as successor to Álvaro García since March 1st, 2010 . He resigned on December 21, 2013.
