TV assistant

A television assistant assists a show master on television shows in front of the camera and thus becomes part of the program.

Typically, TV assistants accompany candidates to their assignments and bring work materials, microphones or drinks.

Television assistants, mostly female, were particularly numerous in the 1960s and 1970s, when almost every major television show had an assistant.

Since the 1990s, the number of TV assistants has been falling sharply in line with the gradual disappearance of program announcers.
