Ferre Gola

Ferre Gola (born March 3, 1976 in Kinshasa as Hervé NGola Bataringe ) is a Congolese soukous musician. "Gola" is the abbreviation or short form of his real name "NGola". He was formerly a member of the Congolese band Quartier Latin International, which was founded and directed in 1986 by Koffi Olomide.

biography

Even as a child he wanted to be a professional musician. He started his career in a band in Bandalungwa called "Rumba des Jeunes" before joining "Wenge Musica" in 1995.

After this group broke up, Ferre Gola joined Werrason's “Maison Mère” before he founded “Marquess of Maison Mère” with Bill Clinton and Jus D'été. "Les Marquis" got out after the work Miracles came out as the best album of the "KORA Awards 2005" in South Africa.

In 1995 he was discovered at a talent fair in Bandalungwa, a district in the city of Kinshasa, and Werrason accepted him into the group "Wenge Musica 4 * 4". When this band broke up, Gola, Werrason, Didie 'Masela and Adolphe formed the group "Wenge Musica Maison Mère", in which he played from 1997 to 2004. In 2004 he left the group "Werrason" and founded the new group "The Marquis of Mother House" with JDT Mulopwe and Bill Clinton Kalonji, who also left Werrason. In 2005 Gola joined the “Quartier Latin International” group of Koffi Olomide and had his greatest success there with “Sisi Silvie”. He left this band in 2006 for his solo career. In the same year Fally Ipupa also left the “Quartier Latin International” group.

He has been running his own label since 2017.
