Ferruccio Castronuovo

Ferruccio Castronuovo (* 1940 in Rome ) is an Italian cameraman and television director .

Life

Castronuovo completed a directing course at the RAI and from 1966 worked briefly as an assistant director and cameraman for cinema productions, sometimes as an actor, which he continued until 1988. In 1972 he directed Sonata al chiaro di luna for television in its series Film sperimentali per la TV . In the following years he was busy with productions for programs such as TV7 , Stasera G7 and Tam Tam . Again and again he shot documentaries , including a. on works by Federico Fellini ( Appunti su La città delle donne ). In 1996 he made his first own feature film , Gratta e vinci , to which he also contributed the music.

In 2009 the French director Thierry Gentet shot the documentary La vita, un lungo viaggio in treno about Castronuovo's life and work.
