The Fixed Satellite Service ( English fixed-satellite service ) is as defined by the International Telecommunication Union a radio service between earth stations at certain locations where one or more satellites are used.

The particular location can be a specified fixed point or any fixed point within specified areas. In certain cases, this radio service includes radio links between satellites, and these radio links can also be operated in the inter - satellite radio service . The fixed radio service via satellites may also include feed connections via other space radio services.
