Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre
The Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre ( FLISoL ) is an annual event on the fourth Saturday of April in several cities in Latin America about the free Linux operating system and free software in general. It should serve the distribution of free software and the networking of its users and developers. In addition to a large installation party , presentations, lectures and workshops will also take place. It is organized by local free software organizations such as Linux User Groups . It is the world's largest event of its kind. Since 2005 it has been taking place locally at several locations at the same time. In 2005, 8,000 people took part in the largest installation party to date. In 2008 over 200 cities from 18 countries took part.
