Loop stitch

The festoon (sometimes also languette ) or loop (en) stitch is a stitch from sewing or embroidery , which is particularly useful for edge storage e.g. B. is also suitable for buttonholes or when binding book bundles. As the German name suggests, all variants consist of loops.

In contrast to the actual festoon stitch, the buttonhole stitch is closer together.
