Fortress Division Frankfurt an der Oder (Wehrmacht)
The Fortress Division Frankfurt an der Oder was a short-lived large formation of the army of the German Wehrmacht during World War II .
The division was set up in Frankfurt an der Oder in January 1945 to defend the city and from February was placed under the 9th Army . The division capitulated to the Red Army in April 1945 .
The commanding officer was Lieutenant General Hermann Meyer-Rabingen .
