Fire reservation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fire of title is a military tactical concept of the command and command language with placing a military leader that the troops may open fire only with his permission.

Fire reservation is one of the terms of fire control in addition to the fire order and the fire summary . The tactical purpose of reserve fire is almost always to protect one's position from enemy detection for as long as possible. It can apply to entire sub-units or individual weapons. If it applies to individual weapons, these are also referred to as silent weapons . The fire reservation is terminated by fire orders (each shooter shoots at his own discretion) or fire commands (the addressed shooters shoot on command).
