Luzim is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Luzim belongs to the district Penafiel in the district of Porto . The community had an area of 6.4 km² and 817 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013 the parishes of Luzim and Vila Cova were merged to form the new parish of Luzim e Vila Cova .
