Fire department control panel

Fire department control panel

The fire brigade control panel ( abbreviation : FBF ) is an additional device for fire alarm systems with a transmission device to the fire brigade . In Germany it is standardized according to DIN 14675 , in Austria according to ÖNORM F 3031 .

The FBF shows certain operating states of the fire alarm system. The standardized design of the display and operating elements enable the fire service personnel to recognize system statuses and to carry out operating processes. Since the FBF has a lock from the local fire brigade, the function keys can only be operated by them, but not by the operator.

The fire brigade control panel must be in the same room as the fire alarm control panel and in its immediate vicinity. It must be clearly visible, operable and freely accessible. If necessary, it is to be marked. Planning and installation must be carried out in consultation with the fire brigade or a competent authority.

Indicator lights and controls

Elements of the fire brigade control panel
green Control panel in operation

FBF is ready for operation (idle state)

red TD triggered

Transmission device (TD) has triggered or has been triggered manually ( check with button TD no. XXX ).

red Extinguishing system triggered

Possibly. activated extinguishing system (e.g. sprinkler system, gas extinguishing system) was triggered.

yellow Fire control from A 1

Lights up when the operator has switched off the control device on the actual fire alarm system.

yellow Acoustic signals from A 1

The acoustic alarm device (e.g. to warn people) of the property is switched off.

red Reset BMZ

The BMZ is or was in an alarm state. With newer FBFs (approx. From 1999) the LED must not be able to be acknowledged by the operator for 15 minutes. The background to this requirement is that fire alarm systems were often reset by the operator himself, so that the fire brigade could not understand whether the corresponding fire alarm system was triggered or not. When resetting via the button, which can only be operated by the fire brigade due to the closure, the red LED goes out immediately, ie before the 15 minutes have elapsed.

yellow TU from A 1

The control of the TD by the BMZ can be interrupted with the latching switch at. The yellow LED lights up when the device is switched off.

Check ÜE no. XXX

The transmission unit is triggered with the button without the BMA going into the alarm state.

A 1

yellow The yellow LED in the button lights up when the switch-off on the FBF itself (by the fire brigade) and not from the fire alarm control panel .

For a trial release, controls such as the release of fire protection doors or gates or the automatic shutdown of elevator and ventilation systems can be switched off by the control.
