Career

King Tee is one of the pioneers of West Coast rapeseed. He released his first album in the 80s and is still active today. He is considered to be the founder of the Likwit Crew , which apart from him originally only included Tha Alkaholiks . Although his first three albums hit the US album charts , he was fired from his Capitol Records label because West Coast rap music was extremely popular during this time and he couldn't keep up with the commercial success of other artists from the same area. In 1995 he got a new chance from his new label Loud Records , but at a time when the popularity of West Coast rapeseed was slowly declining. After he had no resounding success with this album either, he was released again. Dr. Dre then took on him and hired him for his label Aftermath Entertainment in its initial phase. However, he soon had to realize that a new kind of rappers was in demand, so King Tee's album - which had to be called King T since the rights for "King Tee" were with his old label - did not appear. It was later released independently . Similarly he was doing at the originally by Eazy-E was founded Ruthless Records .
