In Hungary, there are special requirements for fire engines, as is the case with German fire engines . In contrast to the USA , for example , they have to be as multifunctional as possible in Hungary. They must be usable in urban regions, forests, heaths and in the mountains and at the same time be used in many conceivable application scenarios.

General

Until 2011, the fire engines of the East German IFA plants and the Hungarian Csepel and Rába were still in use in the halls of the fire brigades . For example, when purchasing new fire engines, vehicles from Western European manufacturers such as B. used from Austria and France.

The technical equipment between the professional fire brigades and the volunteer fire brigades differs considerably, however. The volunteer fire brigades in particular still have the old ones and, in some cases, vehicles that are insufficient for the current range of tasks.
