Figueiredo is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .
Figueiredo belongs to the Amares county in the Braga district . The community had an area of 3.2 km² and 1104 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Figueiredo and Amares were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Amares e Figueiredo .
