The Federaun branch church is located on the western outskirts of Unterfederaun in the municipality of Villach . The church belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Fürnitz and is consecrated to St. Matthew .

description

An open porch on two pillars is built on to the north of the uniformly Gothic building with three-eighths closure. The south tower with double acoustic windows is crowned by a pointed helmet. A late Gothic fresco fragment with a donor from around 1400 has been preserved on the outer wall. You enter the church through the arched portal in the west. The continuous interior with a large wooden gallery ends in a semicircular apse with a segmented arched window. in the south a portal with a straight lintel leads into the groin-vaulted sacristy .

The main altar, created around 1680, shows the evangelist Matthew in the middle picture.
