The Roman Catholic branch church Fuchsenbigl is located in the village of Fuchsenbigl in the Haringsee municipality in the Gänserndorf district in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to Saints Gertrud and Mechthild and belongs to the parish Haringsee in the Marchfeld deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).

Location description

The church stands a little higher in the west of the village of Fuchsenbigl.

history

The small village church dates from 1718. It was donated by Countess Katharina Barbara Herberstein . The church was renovated in 1908.

architecture

The church is a simple building with a stepped round gable. The choir has not moved in much. There is a small bell tower above the entrance. The wall is pierced by segmented arched windows.

The inside of the small church is barrel vaulted .

Furnishing

The small, neo-Gothic altar dates from the end of the 19th century, as do the Stations of the Cross.
