Filialkirche Hart (Feldkirchen in Carinthia)
The small Romanesque church of St. Lambert in the village of Hart in the municipality of Feldkirchen in Carinthia , which was mentioned in a document as early as 1136, is a subsidiary church of the Roman Catholic parish of Klein St. Veit . It stands in a walled cemetery.
Building
A porch with three mighty pillars across the entire width of the west side protects the entrance portal. This has a beveled pointed arch and an iron-studded wooden door. On both sides of the portal there are exposed painting fragments, which, however, do not reveal any details (Fig. S. Commons ). Above the top of the roof of the apse to the east, a grimaceous stone head is built into the wall. With the exception of the ridge turret, the roofs are stone slab covered. The spire consists of a tower ball, a double-armed cross and a weathercock . A Christophorus fresco and a sundial from 1646 can be seen on the south wall .
Interior
The flat wooden ceiling and the gallery are designed with colored, geometric stencil painting from the beginning of the 16th century. The preserved frescoes are from different times: among others, on the north wall, the Death of Mary , signed 1514, and St. Barbara from 1470/80. The fresco of St. Dionysius , in the background the narrative representation of the legend of his martyrdom. In the round apse, Christ is depicted in a rainbow-colored mandorla , surrounded by the four evangelists and flanked by Saints Lambert and Wolfgang (1410/20). On the south wall is the carved, baroque top of a Marian altar with a Madonna and Child, on both sides Saint Margaret with a dragon and Barbara with a chalice.
