Company history
Moritz Thiele founded Finanzcheck.de in 2010 and initially began arranging private health insurance online. Since the end of 2011, the company has been focusing on the online comparison of installment loans.
Finanzcheck.de currently has 267 employees.
In July 2018 the portal was taken over by Scout24 AG . In December 2019 Finanzcheck.de was taken over by the American private equity company Hellman & Friedman together with AutoScout24 for 2.9 billion euros .
Business model
Finanzcheck.de's business model is based on an online comparison portal where customers can compare loan offers free of charge using an online query. In addition to the credit comparison, Finanzcheck.de also offers personal advice for inquiries about installment, car and rescheduling loans.
