Cash injection

A financial injection is understood to be financial aid, especially for a company , a state or the like that is in economic difficulties.

The best-known financial injections of the beginning of the 21st century were those for major banks in turbulence (see also financial crisis from 2007 ) and for some countries threatened with national bankruptcy , such as Greece or Spain (see also euro crisis ). Financial injections that serve to ensure financial stability in the entire euro area are part of the euro rescue package .

In the case of injections of funds to banks, a distinction is made between injections of debt and equity .
