David Miller and Philip Pinsky remained permanent band members, while Chris Connelly (1987–1993 with Revolting Cocks and 1988–1990 with Ministry ), Simon McGlynn, Andy McGregor, Thomas McGregor and John Vick left the band over time.

Band name

The band name Finitribe is derived from finny tribe , a Rosicrucian term for fish. Sometimes the band name was also written Fini Tribe .

Band history

Finitribe's roots were in the previous band Gallery Macabre , an experimental guitar band, in the mid- 1980s . She later became a sampling- based dance music band and founded the Finiflex label . Her most successful hits were the dance floor tracks " Detestimony ", " 101 " and " Forevergreen ". The band played sessions for John Peel in 1985, 1989 and 1998 . The band split up in 2002. Despite the split up, two compilations were released ; Then Again (2004) and This Is Electronic Body Music (2005).
