Finn Søeborg
Finn Søeborg (born April 13, 1916 in Copenhagen ; † September 14, 1992 , German also Finn Soeborg ) was a Danish humorist and writer .
Life
He studied political science and worked as a ministerial official before starting his writing career.
He became known in Germany through his satirical debut novel Sådan er der så meget (German translation 1953 under the title: And sowas lives! ), Published in 1950 , in which he humourously describes the idle times and the excessive bureaucracy that cripples any private-sector construction a Danish reconstruction ministry shortly after the war. The novel was translated into several languages and motifs from it found their way into the 1970 film Der Bettenstudent or: What do I do with the girls? by Michael Verhoeven . In the 1950s and 1960s Søeborg was one of Denmark's most widely read authors. His best-known short story Alfred, about the friendship between a boy and the alcoholic Alfred, was filmed in 1973 in Denmark under the direction of Erik Rasmussen.
