The Firangi , also Farang or Phirangi , ( Indian stranger), is a sword from India .

description

The Firangi has a straight, double-edged blade. The blade usually has a hollow grind in the middle or a central ridge. From the handle , the blade runs narrowing towards the place . Rapier, broadsword or saber blades from European production were often used for the Firangi. The handle is mostly made in the same way as the handles of the Khanda or the Tegha . The handles have a hand guard and an approximately 13 cm long, curved, blunt spike on the pommel.
