Fischer Lexicon
The Fischer Lexikon is an "Encyclopedia of Knowledge" published by S. Fischer Verlag from 1957 in 36 independent thematic volumes . The work claimed to present the knowledge of the time according to the latest research. Each volume provides an introduction to the subject, followed by encyclopaedic articles in alphabetical order with keywords in italics. These keywords are compiled in a register at the end of the respective volume and can thus be found in the text. In front of the register there is an extensive bibliography in each volume. The editors of the work were the philosopher and scientific theorist Alwin Diemer and the lecturer and science editor Ivo Frenzel .
