Fiskeboller with sauce

Fiskeboller , in German about fish dumplings , are a popular and widespread fish dish in Norway .

The Fiskebollers are like potato-sized dumplings and consist of chopped fish fillet or fish meal, potato starch, milk, salt and, depending on the recipe, different spices. In Scandinavia, the Fiskeboller are mostly offered as ready meals or in cans.

These whitish dumplings are usually served with boiled potatoes and vegetables. Smaller fiskebollers are also known as soup bollers and are mainly used as an insert in soups.
