The Flabellum Bastion is a rocky outcrop on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Krakow Peninsula, it rises northeast of the Linton Knoll .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on February 15, 1998. It is named after fossils of gorgonians of the genus Flabellum found here .
