The Linton Knoll is an elongated hill on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Krakow Peninsula, it rises southwest of the Flabellum Bastion .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on April 23, 1998. It is named after the British geomorphologist David Leslie Linton (1906–1971), who worked for the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from 1958 to 1959 .
