Fladaskjeret is an archipelago island at the northern end of the Gandsfjord in the Norwegian province of Rogaland . It belongs to the area of the city of Stavanger .
The uninhabited rocky and barren island is about two kilometers northeast of the Stavanger peninsula. About a kilometer northeast is the island of Tunsøya , 500 meters east of Bukkholmen and about one kilometer southwest of Litla Marøya .
Fladaskjeret extends in a west-east direction over about 250 meters with a width of up to 150 meters and a maximum height of seven meters. To the east, only separated by a narrow section of shallow water, lies another archipelago.
On April 15, 2017, around 3:30 p.m., a boat accident occurred on the island. A recreational boat approaching the island from the east at around 18 to 20 knots hit the island so unfavorably that it only came to rest on Fladaskjeret, completely out of the water. The two boat passengers were uninjured.
