Flammende Herzen is the first studio album by German guitarist Michael Rother .

General

The instrumental album was released in 1977 and contains the singles Flammende Herzen and Carousel . It was Rothers first solo album after five albums as a member of Neu! with Klaus Dinger and Harmonia with Cluster . The music was used in 1978 for the soundtrack to the film of the same name.

The album was recorded in Conny's studio between June and September 1976 . The cover of the album was designed with photographs by Christian Rabe.

On his first solo album after Neu! Rother worked again with producer Conny Plank , whom he from Neu! and knew Harmonia . Jaki Liebezeit from Can added Rother on drums. All other instruments were played by Rother: guitar, bass guitar, electric piano, organ, synthesizer and electronic percussion.
